Bite back: how fights work in Ants Quest
An ant can't punch. So every fight in Ants Quest is about the jaws: quick bites, heavy bites, and knowing when to fly away.

The trailer: sunrise and sunset over the sea, an eclipse behind the Earth, a race through the gates at Saturn and a boost into the Sun.
The trailer opens with three views of sunrise over open sea. The ship flies along a coast, then boosts up into space. The title appears over an eclipse: the Sun comes out from behind the Earth. The Earth rises over the Moon, the ship passes Jupiter's Great Red Spot and races toward Saturn. In a race, a countdown runs 3, 2, 1, Go, and the ship launches over a forest by the sea. It follows a rival through the gate at Saturn, then flies a timed level at Jupiter. The map picks Saturn for the autopilot, and the game shows its 20 languages on a computer and a phone. The trailer ends with sunset over the sea and a boost into the Sun. On-screen text: "Watch sunrise and sunset", "Explore the whole Solar System", "Boost past the giants", "Race a rival", "Beat the clock", "Autopilot to any planet", "20 languages", "Desktop and phone". Music only, no speech.

The trailer: a flight off a summit over a river valley, a scent trail across the sand, an escape from a spider, then thirteen short fights with spiders, a wasp, mantises and a giant rival ant.
The trailer opens as a winged ant takes off from a summit, out over a river valley. It flies along the river, lands on the sand and follows a yellow scent trail, then flies low through the flowers, up off a hill into the sun and over the meadow toward the far hills. It speeds away with a spider on its heels. Then come thirteen short fights, each ending as the ant bites: spiders, a wasp over the river, a centipede, beetles, phorid flies in the air, two praying mantises, a small rival ant and a big rival ant twice its size. The trailer ends on the summit with the title. On-screen text: "Flight", "Follow the scent", "Outrun", "Or fight?", "Fight in the air", "Take on giants", "Ants Quest". Music and the game's sounds, no speech.

Every 3D object in our games is made in code, from the planets to the ants' legs. Nothing is downloaded from a model store.
A computer, a phone or a tablet: the games run in the browser, have touch controls, and turn down their detail on slower devices.
Every change is played and tuned by hand before it ships, and hundreds of automated tests check it too.
